The DP "Healthy Health Service" aims to obtain workability of employees in health service and to provide support and solutions so that they can stay in the working process (in the system). Another aim is to point out the problems at system level and at the various tasks of the different hierarchies which, in the long run, lead to mental damages and could make the employees redundant.
Objectives
Initial situation :
The health industry employs app. 330.00 persons. There is a great manpower shortage caused by the demographic development worldwide and the early resign of health service personnel (average length of stay: 6 years) aggravate the situation. Additionally premature retirement of health service staff is existed based on difficult working conditions, lack of vocational training and career management. The re-orientation of these job leavers is very difficult because they have very specific competences. A new start of employment often is hindered by advanced symptoms of stress.
The Austrian DP “Healthy Health Service” aims at the employees in the health system service, in particular in the hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation centres. The principal aim is to obtain workability of employees and to provide support and solutions so that they can stay in the working process (within the health care system). Another aim is to point out the problems at system level and at the various tasks of the different hierarchies which, in the long run, lead to mental damages and could make the employees redundant.
Raising of a higher acceptance of work-conditions, consequences of diseases with regard to quality assurance and costs of work-conditions
Raising awareness and new assessment of the system‘s weak points
Stimulating of self reflection and empowering the employees to actively plan their career
